For all those people out there that are Over 60 we have a club on every Wednesday, it is free to join and you will get 10% off your purchases (excludes concessions and items already discounted, Special Offers or Trips).

We also organise coach trips with Bowens to popular destinations all over the UK and you can book your place on any Wednesday.

Come along and see Jennie, Alison or Mo who look after the Bookings and Renewals desk they will happily enrol you on our club, renew your card if it has expired or take your booking if you want to come on one of our trips.

We have around 7,000 members to our Over 60's club and keep in contact with all our members around 5-6 times a year, sometimes it might just be a new trip list that we send our members but more often than not it is Exclusive Offers that are just for our Over 60's Club Members.

Llangollen Wharf Aqueduct Cruise Sold Out

Enjoy 2 hours peaceful cruising along the stunning Dee Valley, through the beautiful Vale of Llangollen and across the famous Pontcysyllte Aqueduct. A light lunch will be served while you are on board and live commentary from your Skipper gives you history and local knowledge. We then make a short stop for sightseeing/shopping in Llangollen

Thursday 9th September
Cotswolds for the Day, includes a Falconry display

We start the day in Moreton in the Marsh where you will have around an hour free to browse around or have a drink before heading to the Cotswolds Falconry Centre where you will see displays of birds of prey such as Falcons, Owls, Eagles etc. We then move onto Bourton on the Water where you can eat in any of the many café’s/restaurant and then have the afternoon free to browse around this pretty village known as the “Little Venice”of the Cotswolds or enjoy any of the attractions this lovely village offers.

Blenheim Palace

There is so much to see and enjoy at Blenheim Palace. The sumptuous Palace State Rooms house an exquisite collection of portraits, furniture, tapestries and porcelain. Forest of Dean

We start our day at the Dean Heritage Centre the “museum of the royal forest” which tells the history of a beautiful forest formed by an industrial past where you can browse the various galleries and exhibitions. Step out into the woodlands to experience the lives of charcoal burners and traditional cottage dwellers. The Foresters Cottage is an accurately reconstructed Victoria home. You may also see “Old Spot” Pigs, chickens and a variety of orchard trees. You will have time here for lunch before we travel the full 20 mile route of the “Royal Forest” through the heart of Gloucestershire’s Royal Forest of Dean. The Forest of Dean is one of the most fascinating regions in Britain.

Shrewsbury & Ludlow

Today’s trip is to both Ludlow and Shrewsbury where you are free to do whatever you want. Ludlow was described by John Betjeman as "the loveliest town in England". The castle is perched on a cliff above the picturesque River Teme. Shrewsbury town centre is packed with timber-framed black & white buildings, and steep narrow streets and alleyways. The River Severn forms a loop around the town centre offering gentle riverside walks or you can enjoy a trip on the new pleasure boat Sabrina.

Traditional Christmas Evening at the Black Country Museum

We have such a treat in store for you when you join us for a Traditional Christmas Evening at the ever popular Black Country Museum. Carol singing, street entertainers and brass bands all infuse the evening with the spirit of Christmas. Cottages will be illuminated by gas and candlelight giving off a magical glow and Carols will be sung in the chapel. If you get hungry there will be an array of food available including fish and chips and a Hog Roast.

BOOKING CONDITIONS

Payment & Cancellation
Coach trips can be booked on any Wednesday at our Over 60’s desk
All seats can be secured for any trip by placing a £5.00 non refundable deposit per person per seat. If we do not receive full payment of the due balance either by the date stated on your receipt or as advised to you at a later stage, then your place on the trip will be cancelled.



Day Trips
Outstanding balances will become due by no later than 4 weeks before the date of the trip. However, in some circumstances the balance may be due earlier and you will be advised of the date either when booking your trip or at a later date. Should you wish to transfer your £5.00 deposit from one trip to another before the due date of the balance then we are happy for you to do this. However, we regret that no refunds can be made for cancellation less than 4 weeks prior to the excursion date. On your behalf we will endeavour to resell your ticket(s) and if we are successful then we will refund your payment.



Arrival Time For Day Trips:
Can we kindly ask that for any day trips which depart earlier than 9.00am that you arrive no earlier than 20 minutes before the departure time as stated on your booking receipt. This will enable traffic to flow freely on the road, our staff to access the garden centre to open the gates and your coach to gain entry without any holdups. Your co-operation will be appreciated.



Theatre Trips
The balance for theatre trips will be due at a date earlier than the usual 4 weeks. Whenever possible you will be advised of this date on booking. If a balance due date is not known at the time of booking you will be advised of this date in due course and full payment should be made by no later than the date as advised to you. As with our day trips we regret that no refunds can be made for cancellations. However, on your behalf we will endeavour to resell your ticket(s) and if we are successful then we will refund your payment.



Changes to Excursions
We reserve the right to alter excursions and prices or cancel any excursions listed on the itinerary. We are unable to reserve seats on the coach for you and due to health & safety regulations drinks cannot be served whilst the coach is moving.
